The Secretary General of the United Nations for Humanitarian Affairs said it had released $ 42 million to help people suffering from hunger, disease and conflicts in nine countries including Djibouti, the Associated Press reports.

John Holmes said the UN had not received enough funds from donors to meet the humanitarian needs in these nine countries .
